Not recommended... Had very bad experience with this dentist. My son had severe infection but she simply did root canal and filling which created much worse in following days. Handled the kid also very harsh. When we asked clarification during the procedure, she didn't explained anything instead told us that don't ask any questions, we are qualified for this and practicing on day to day basis. I know what I have to do. It was shocking to us. Didn't expect this kind of service and words from a healthcare professional.

This is my reply to Dr. Catherine’s response towards my husband's (Marichelvam Palani) review. I had chosen the clinic by its reviews about kids friendly ambience & went directly to the clinic. My son was suffering from tooth abscess with severe pain. Me & my child was decisive to take away the pain from the infected tooth. But after seeing his cooperativeness she only suggested to do RC procedure on the same day if I give concurrence too. But she assured that the procedure can be without much pain to him. So I said OK to her suggestion and she spoke nicely in the start and once he ignores the procedure due to unbearable pain; she suddenly turned very strict & compulsive to undergo the procedure (Note: As per the top three pediatric dentists around Madurai city where we visited, even for an adult they won’t do root canal procedure right way in the very first visit when the patient is with unbearable pain even though the patient want to have the procedure. when its come to a 5 yr old child it should be a strict NO. but she didn't had this concern at all to my son). In short time given and in mom's heart I said yes to the procedure without knowing the consequences. My boy trusted me, the doctor and happily sat on the chair but from the beginning of numbing injections he started to cry his lungs out in pain and continuously pleaded her to stop the procedure. But by ignoring his tears she simply said to me that he was just acting but I slowly started to realise that he was in unbearable pain. She just sealed the hole made by the procedure.(Note: Again other expertise dentists confirmed that an incomplete root canal should not be closed with any kind of material just other than a medicine soaked cotton since it might lodge the infection inside the tooth itself and creates more pain but she sealed with some kind of sealer which cannot be taken off easily. Yes I greeted her with a smile out of courtesy and believed that my son will be okay after pain killers as she told to me. But he was in great pain and I was helplessly saw him suffering for more than 3hrs. The same night he started to get high temperature which made me worried badly. I rang up to the clinic but the doctor tone was totally lethargic to my queries & too bossy and she concluded that it might be a normal flu kind of fever and shockingly told that she was also affected by my son's flu and she was upset about that (I dont think any doctor could respond in this way to a mom of a sick child but I m damn sure that my son was 200% healthy on the previous day other than this tooth pain). Aggressively she told to go to the pediatric doctor to treat him & after his recovery we can have any further dental appointment. But the fever lasted for 10 days almost and in the mean time just the antibiotics and painkillers got his tooth pain at bay but never the swelling was reduced. I m not comfortable to go to Dr. Catherine clinic again due to her aggressive response overphone. As she mentioned in the comment, I never received any repeated calls from her clinic more than once & when I asked my doubts; she turned angry that she can’t explain the techniques & her tone hurted me a lot again. I believe that this modern medical decade every patient and the family have right to know the treatment procedure and any good responsible doctor should obey the feelings of a mother. But she neglected simply. Finally we took him to another leading pediatric dentist, took all necessary tests, x rays & we shockingly got to know the tooth cannot be saved anymore and it’s not fit for RC procedure either. So we ended up in tooth extraction by choosing the wrong clinic initially & her wrong procedure. Finally the Dr’s astonishment on my husband's comment, though he wasn't accompanying me but still he knows all updates regularly, visited withus to other dentists & I think as a father he very well have the right to discuss this & he is responsible father who supported in our all troubles. Not recommended to a mother who cares her child tears.

I personally recommend this clinic.Dr.catherine fixed my teeth problems very carefully and elegantly.thanks twinklers for the quality treatment.very rarely we find like this dedicated doctors. 😬🙏
