Awesome location and dental team. I have been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Dr Thenard, Portia, and Alice have worked on my many times and they always make my experience better just by doing their jobs so well. They are so careful, comforting, and efficient with their work which makes all the stress goes away. The receptionists Kenzie and Nyelli are very helpful and thorough. Weather i'm scheduling an appointment or going over the cost of service they leave none of my questions unanswered and the feeling is great. The Alameda Pediatric team as a whole is absolutely exceptional! 5/5 Stars Would recommend to all!!!

We always have such a great experience at Alameda Pediatric Dentistry! The team takes excellent care of my child. They’re incredibly patient, gentle, and kind. Every visit feels positive and reassuring, and my child actually enjoys going to the dentist. Highly recommend this wonderful practice to any family looking for compassionate, top-quality care!

Updated 11/18 Very appreciative that someone reached out by call to follow up on the issue and already investigated to understand the probable issue so to be able to quickly address it within ONE phone call. Much thanks and gratitude to Julie. She's an amazing personnel that not only shared where things went wrong but also took ownership of the issue for the dentistry and already had plans on how to address the issue so that it doesn't happen again. She took my complaints in a very professional manner without even a slight defensiveness which goes a long way when it comes to customer care. APD, Julie is a keeper and as someone working in a related customer care field, I would love to have an employee like Julie. Initial review on 11/16 Teacher appreciation plan insurance coverage acceptance for kids to get dental care here is a bogus attempt in getting clients and ending up having to pay for dental care. Their care quality is great but I don't like it that they engage in such dishonest marketing for financial gains for services especially when the marketing intent is to appreciate teachers.

Please know, this review is strictly for the billing experience I had and unfortunately has made it so our three kids will not be returning; we love the dental staff and dentists, they've all always been kind, courteous and thorough! The dental assistants and dentists, we give 5 stars, hands down. Now for the billing experience. Please keep in mind, all three of our kids (now 11, and twin 8 year olds) have been coming to this establishment since they were toddlers, before they were even at this location, we began using their services at the South Shore building that no longer exists. We have insurance and understand they are considered "out of network" they always have been. We brought our three littles in for their routine visits the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. All went well, no cavities, as always, one needed updated x-rays (the other had them done previously by the offices joint ortho during a consultation a few months prior). We always have a co-pay of $48 each child. Paid upfront. The dentists recommended the twins have sealants added to their molars, provided me with the charge for each ahead of time (which was the exact amount I'd previously paid for our son, mind you, I never had follow up charges later), I signed their paperwork acknowledging the fees and I also paid for that immediately after services were rendered. I noticed after leaving the office, there was a rather hefty service charge for using my credit card but it was right before the holiday, so I figured I'd give them a call later regarding the charge. Not a huge deal to me at the time. Fast forward to the day before New Year. I receive two texts indicating I need to call them regarding our accounts. I call and assuming because of the holiday, they didn't have regular staff on hand and the woman (who was very kind) speaking to me asked if we could call back on Monday. A billing staff member calls me that Friday, 1/2. She explains that there are two outstanding balances: $15 and change for one of the twins and $21 and change for the other. I say there's no way, I paid you all immediately and not only that, why would we have two different charges when the same exact services were rendered? With a snappy attitude she goes on to explain, no, they didn't, one had x-rays. I said, ok, in the entire time we've been coming to this office, we've never had additional charges for x-rays and I find it hard to believe that charge difference is only $6 considering how much I pay your office for everything else. She again snaps at me that we haven't been seen by their dentist since 2023. I laughed and said, we were there in the end of 2023 and then yes, skipped 2024 and were then seen again in early 2025, now again in Nov. 2025, but prior to that, we were there since the kids were toddlers. I also made a point of telling her that I was overcharged on the credit card service fee; she snapped back at me that there is a 3% processing fee. I said ok, I wasn't aware of that. She responds, it's posted in the office. I then let her know, that what I was charged, was NOT 3% of our bill but much more. She again responds that it's posted in the office, completely ignoring what I'm trying to explain. Fine if there's a fee, but I was charged more than what the fee should have been. At this point I'm frustrated with how rude she's being and her blatant refusal to hear what I'm saying regarding the credit card fee and tell her that for such small amounts, this seems rather silly, I think they should right off the $15 and $21...she then immediately says, fine, I'll be placing your account on suspension until the fees are paid. I said you go ahead and do that, we won't be coming back! Honestly, for having been coming to this office with our kids from the beginning and then to be treated this way over $15 and $21? Three clients gone...

This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. The team is super nice, humble, patient, friendly, and most importantly caring and understanding. My son is only 2 and of course there were tears but wow were they always making sure he was ok and carefully cared for. Thank you Alameda pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Ledesma Family
