Wow. As someone who has had negative dental experiences as a child, it has been important to me to find a very welcoming and gentle, yet knowledgeable pediatric dentist. And now I've found it! Insurance: They pre-authorized the visit with my insurance so I could know what would be covered. This gave me comfort knowing what to expect! (For reference, I have MetLife) Front desk staff: Very helpful when emailing or calling regarding making an appt, insurance, etc as mentioned above. Dental Hygenist: Lori is an angel. My daughter was shy/nervous but Lori continued to talk to her and make conversation to make my daughter more comfortable. Lori is patient, caring, and we are so thankful for her gentle demeanor! Dentist: Dr. Helen was incredibly kind, calm and patient the moment she walked in. She mentioned things my daughter likes in order to make conversation with her (which was information asked in the forms we filled out prior to our appointment. I love that!). I was able to ask Dr. Helen questions and really appreciated her taking the time to answer. Just a fantastic experience all-around! The waiting room: Has a lot of toys for the kids to play with. We arrived early so my daughter could warm up and see how "fun" the dentist could be. I highly recommend reading the Lovevery dentist book they have in the waiting room, "Olivia Goes to the Dentist". It's actually a book with Dr. Helen in it! It explains how the dental visit will go, and explains "sugar bugs" which was a really helpful way of explaining teeth cleaning to my 3 year old. The extras: Oh my goodness! They have stickers, sunglasses, bubbles, toothbrushes, balloons, and other little toys! My daughter absolutely had a great time and is excited for her next visit, which makes my heart so happy! If Dr. Helen starts seeing adults, I'll be first in line! :)

Dr. Helen is absolutely incredible. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is wonderful with our 3-year-old son and makes every visit feel calm, thoughtful, and positive. After a fall, Dr. Helen literally saved our son’s two front teeth when other dentists told us they would need to be removed. Her skill, clinical judgment, and level of care truly set her apart. We also love Ana, the dental assistant. She is consistently paired with our son, which we really appreciate, and the continuity has made such a difference in helping him feel comfortable and safe. The entire staff is warm, patient, and incredibly thoughtful—remembering our son’s interests, having his favorite things in the room, and taking their time throughout the appointment. Dr. Helen and her team go above and beyond in both expertise and care. We feel so lucky to have found a practice that treats our child with such skill, consistency, and genuine kindness.

This dental office is truly like family to us. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the front desk — Anna and Lori are simply the best. They are so warm, friendly, and welcoming that my kids actually enjoy coming here. I have three kids (17, 13, and 5), and they've been patients for a few years now. Every single visit has been a positive experience. My toddler is never scared or anxious, which says everything about how gentle and caring this team is. I wish I had a dentist like this growing up! Dr. Helen is phenomenal ! She kind, patient, incredibly gentle, and just so good at what she does. The staff goes above and beyond, even allowing my oldest son Jacob to shadow the anesthesiologist to explore his interest in healthcare. That meant a lot to our family. This office was recommended to us by my mother-in-law’s family, and it has been one of the best referrals we’ve ever received. Truly the best dentist out there. Dr. Helen, Anna, Lori — please don’t retire anytime soon! Thank you for taking such amazing care of my kids.

I highly recommend Dr. Helen and Ana! Both of my sons had a great experience at their dentist appointment. Ana was very encouraging, which made my two-year-old’s first visit go smoothly—he didn’t cry at all and did an amazing job. My five-year-old also did much better at this location. I recently moved from our Danville dentist to the Pleasant Hill location, and it turned out to be a great decision.

We always have an amazing experience at PDPH. My 3-year-old says he’ll only go to this dentist because he loves it so much! The office is incredibly fun and welcoming for kids, beautifully decorated with a great variety of toys to keep them entertained while waiting. Cindy and Ana were wonderful with our boys and incredibly patient while helping us get X-rays done. Dr. Helen is also fantastic and makes the entire experience feel easy and positive. At the end of the visit, our boys got to choose a Croc charm, a toy from the capsule vending machine, and even a balloon! We couldn’t recommend PDPH more highly.
