So far I love it here. My sons been to 3 dentist in the last year but was hoping for an office who took my insurance and luckily Montclair does! To be honest it took a while to hear back to see if they accept my insurance so I went ahead and booked it anyways with worries that my sons cavity would get worst because the last pediatric dentist we went to (Redwood) made it seem urgent. Not a fan of scare tactics esp when I feel like it’s a way to get $. But at Montclair I felt very calm (so did my son) visiting for the first time and I felt like I was in charge of making decisions for my son’s teeth. In no way did I feel forced to do any treatment I was not comfortable with for my 4 yr old. Dr.Rebecca was informative and not pushy at all. She came up with a treatment plan for my son and let me decide what I wanted to move forward with. I even called the office to ask a question and they were able to forward my call to Dr.Rebecca and I’m happy we’re not treated like just another person to bill. I’m nervous and excited for my son to finally get his cavity taken care of the right way :)

I can’t say enough nice things about Montclair Pediatric Dentistry! The staff are so kind and the facility is clean, spacious, and has all the nice touches a toddler could want; plenty of toys, books, and an over head tv in the dentist chair with Ms Rachel. There was coffee for the adults and even a sweet treat for my wife and I! Our son was quite difficult for his first dentist appointment but everyone was patient and caring. I’ve haven’t felt this cared for by a dental office since I was a kid. I can’t recommend this place enough and we look forward to coming back!

My 4 year old son came in for his first cleaning today. Staff are amazing and made him feel right at home, and he did not flinch once.In and out in 30 minutes. Great spirited group of people. Highly recommend!

My son had a dental emergency and this office was so responsive and helpful with me on a holiday Friday. Other offices were trying to get rid of me and they couldn't have been more kind and helpful. We had to pay out of pocket but hopefully once our insurance kicks in it will be more reasonable. The dentist and her assistants were efficient and effective and pulled my kids tooth without causing him any pain. I'm so grateful. It's a lovely, charming space as well. Great job all - it is SO appreciated.

So patient with my 2 3/4 year old who has always hated getting his teeth brushed. They let him bring a toy with him from the waiting room, walk around the exam area avoiding the inevitable while I did intake questions, were exceedingly patient when he did not want to pick out a toothbrush or have his teeth brushed, and when they (not me!) figured out that the tasty chocolate toothpaste and fluoride could be used as a bribe, did an excellent job negotiating with him continually so they could get the job done without even a hint of restraint. In the end, he left brushed, flossed, examined, cleaned, and smiling, sucking on a lollipop, telling me he liked the dentist. I stayed outwardly very calm and positive for the sake of my boy but internally I went into this very stressed, believing I would have to hold down my crying child, like shots but never ending. I'm so grateful and relieved that wasn't the case. And of course, the office was gorgeous.
