Holistic parents!!!!*******Derek Miller is no good. He is untrustworthy. I was very adamant about no flouride treatments and being holistic. He insisted early decay on my toddlers teeth was due to me occassionally breast feeding(my toddler is in range to still breast feed). He pushed flouride treatments every 3 months, I accepted 1 out of pure fear for my toddler. When returning for another treatment, he didnt even examine my toddlers mouth again- he barged in the room irritated ready to slap more flouride on her teeth. When I asked if he could slow down and actually confirm that the decay was worsening, he was extremely rude and angry. He said "it is still decaying" without ever opening her mouth to look, just said it WAS forsure. I demanded another peek at her mouth from him. While he was VERY angrily putting his gloves on, I inquired about a lip tie that I was fairly certain was prominent. He confirmed that he did miss the lip tie in the initial dental visit with flouride. It was missed by a hospital, pediatrician, and now a DENTIST for kids. Flouride is poison!!!! I advise any holistic parents to avoid this office and try coconut oil pulling, salt, baking soda, changing diets, more clean water intake, and less yeasty foods for kiddos. He also stated hydroxyapetite has NOT 1 study done on it, but the teeth problems were because I wouldnt take my toddler off nursing. Tons of of lies and deception from Derek Miller. We all can seek our own truths, but he is a liar and clearly pushes fear and anger in the office. He told me he sees 60-70 patients a day and doesnt take photos of their mouths whatsoever. How would you be able to track kids teeth over time if you are pushing them through like cattle and pushing flouride for every concerned parent? With no photos? Avoid avoid avoid. The office is cute, the ladies at the front are rude. Something needs to be investigated here. **edited Staff was not called in for an argument over flouride, staff was called in because I asked if Derek Miller could answer some questions and evaluate my toddler before flouride application. Hence the lip tie question. I sure hope a Dentist isnt calling a mother of a patient a liar when there were 2 parents in there and also technology everywhere. God is in EVERYTHING. God bless! **Addtl Edit** Oh and Iodine drops! My "homemade" toothpaste works really well with iodine drops on the tooth brush! Iodine is critical for the body and it has been depleted in our diets. Again, we can all seek our own truths as we have different needs for our households! After further review of Derek Millers public description, it misleads you to think he is a man who follows God.

Dr Derrick has been my son’s dentist since his was a toddler and my son is now 16, moving on to an adult dentist. Through the years, Dr Derrick has been so patient, with my son being on the spectrum and initially very scared of the dentist. He helped my son make leaps and bounds in getting his teeth in great condition as well as building the trust between my son and himself so that he could work on my son without him being in fear. I cannot be more thankful for him and his staff after all these years, and cannot recommend them enough for any parent looking for a dentist who is more patient and understanding with his patients. Thank you guys so much!!!!

My kid likes the orange toothpaste and that the dental hygienist is so nice. She also likes that every kid gets a coin at the end to get a prize. She gives cool mountain kids five stars. She thinks “Dr. Mollar” is so nice too.

We love going to Cool Mountain Kids because they’re so friendly, fast and thorough. They understand what works for kids (movies on The ceiling during their appointments) and don’t get discouraged when a little toddler is having a freak out session. Very clean office. Recommend taking your kids!

We love this office. We have been going here for about 5 years now for our two daughters. The entire staff is so friendly and always make the experience really comfortable and happy for my girls and us as parents. You can tell Dr. Derek has you and your child’s best interests at heart and he is just an amazing dentist. I always recommend them to any friends and family.
