This place is absolutely amazing. They were patient and gentle with my children. My son has autism and struggles with doctors and sensory and my daughter had her first appointment today ever, so she was afraid. The dentist answered all my questions with kindness. They're warm and inviting.

I cannot thank Dr. Sierra and his incredible team enough. From the very first phone call to schedule, his assistants were kind, patient, and truly understanding. My son is 9 years old and on the autism spectrum and finding a dental team that respects his needs has been a long journey. Although we live in Orlando, we drove all the way to Tampa and it was absolutely worth it. For over a year, I searched for a dentist in Orlando who could perform sedation in a hospital setting due to my son's medical needs. After multiple consultations, I kept hearing that sedation was only available in-clinic, which wasn’t appropriate for his needs. Dr. Sierra was the first to truly listen and offer a safe, compassionate solution. To Dr. Sierra and his team: thank you. You didn’t just provide care, you gave us peace of mind.

1 star down only because of long waits & quite a bit of inefficiencies in paperwork that could have been avoided. + Staff and doctor are very nice + easy to schedule/ get ahold of, surprised of even texting Dr. Sierra after business hours for pain relief advice + nice offices, love that they let us use the office to breastfeed and have sofas with pillows in hallways too Been here for both my babies for lip & tongue tie release (2 yrs ago and now), after being quickly referred from Tampa breastfeeding center. Hard to tell if it was an absolutely necessary procedure but I want to believe it helped and was right long term. - I wish they had an online check in that you could do in advance just like most other similar services (pediatricians/ ENTs). The manual paperwork was very repetitive and was overlapping with qns nurse asked (without looking at papers). Both times we spent over an hour there for a procedure that takes a few minutes (laser tie release) - most of it sitting and waiting for someone to come in.

We drive an hour to see Dr. Sierra and it's worth it. My son has high anxiety and special needs plus had a terrible experience at a previous practice. The staff is very kind and patient. Dr. Sierra did work on my son over a year ago at the local surgery center and it went great. My son is nervous when arriving for cleanings, but the staff helps him feel at ease. Most recently, Dr. Sierra needed to remove my son's dental appliance. (My son's orthodontist could not remove it due to a specific issue and my son's lack of cooperation/anxiety.) I did my best to prep my son for the appointment and while he felt prepared, you could see his nervousness entering the office. Dr. Sierra and his assistant were great. Dr. Sierra's tone, demeanor, and honesty (plus the nitrous oxide 😉) really helped keep my son calm and the procedure was completed much faster than I expected. (Dr. Sierra also treated my little son's tongue tie after a botched job from another provider and it healed great and solved our nursing difficulties.) Thank you, Dr. Sierra and staff for meeting my son right where he is to make him feel safe while doing fantastic dental work.

I used to take my kids to a dentist that didn’t meet our expectations, and I was desperate to find an honest and competent provider. Kids Smiles was recommended to me, so we decided to try them out for our two girls, including my daughter who is autistic and has unique needs. Kids Smiles goes above and beyond to make my girls feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend Kids Smiles to any family looking for a great pediatric dental facility.
