We had a GREAT EXPERIENCE here! From the time we walked in everyone was nice kind and patient with my 3 yr old. The Hygienist Mrs Kenya was very nice and patient. She took time with my son explaining to me what she was doing every step of the way she made it fun for him while also keeping me informed about his visit. Dr Camp was amazing. She explained everything to me, answered my questions and made our visit seamless and fun. We will definitely be returning for a six month visit. Thank you Dr. Camp, Mrs Kenya and staff!!

My son had an excellent first ever dentist appointment at Decatur Camp Kids. Dr. Camp has very kind, patient, and informative hygienists that made my son and I feel at ease. Dr. Camp was a joy and gave superb anticipatory guidance on my son’s oral health and development. My family is happy to have a dental home!

We had a bit of a dental emergency after my son broke his tooth on Halloween candy (surprise surprise), and Dr. Camp along with her staff were so kind and put as at ease throughout the whole process from evaluation to procedure. My kids actually get excited to go to the dentist with a very kid-friendly environment, equipped with movie favorites on the ceiling, games to play in the waiting room and fun prizes to pick out at the end. Truly a 10/10 experience

This place is AMAZING!! It was my little ones first time and they made both her and me feel at home and comfortable. She can't stop "talking" about it. From the moment we walked in the environment was welcoming to my 22 month old. They know what they are doing and how to work with kids. Dr. Camp has excellent bedside manner with kids and parents!

DO NOT GO HERE!!This place is awful!! My experience at Decatur Camp Kids Pediatric Dentistry has left me feeling the practice is more FOCUSED on the rigid policies and payment than on wellbeing of children and their families. My recent visit to this office with my son. From the moment we walked in, the experience was AWFUL and did not meet the standard of care I expected from a pediatric practice. Lack of welcome and warmth: Only 1 staff member greeted my son or myself with a smile or kind word. This immediately set a negative tone. Usually when I walk into a place that focuses on children you hear laughing and smiling. I heard silence. Insurance verification policy: I was told insurance is only checked the day before the appointment. I have NEVER encountered this policy at any pediatric office or any office for that matter. I also work for Blue Cross Blue Shield and confirmed my insurance fully covers a routine cleaning. A quick system check with my policy ID would have resolved this, but instead the focus seemed to ONLY on payment rather than care. I had to pay for the service as if I didn’t have any insurance. Which is crazy! Receptionist conduct: While I briefly stepped outside to call the father of my son, I overheard unprofessional comments being made when I returned. Water bottle restrictions: I was told my son, and I could not bring water bottles into the back, leaving me concerned about our personal belongings being let unattended X-ray experience: The technician did not allow me to stand near my son during this process. My son needed my help getting into the chair, which was too tall for my son to reach since the technician did not assist my son into the chair. Typically, I hold his hand during this process, but was told I could not due to the “radiation” risk. In my experience at multiple dental offices, I have NEVER been PREVENTED from being beside my son during this process Lack of compassion for other families:While waiting, I witnessed another family with three children being told that only one parent could go back with them. When the mother explained the challenge of managing three children alone, she was met with no compassion or flexibility from staff. The further highlighted the lack of understanding and care at your practice I emailed this practice personally and the response I was given is that is the policy. On top of that, I got a second opinion from his original dentist and had said there is nothing to be concerned about. His teeth looks great. While Decatur Camp Kids Pediatric Dentistry said my son had 4 cavities and needed a crown….. DO NOT GO HERE!
