Took my 9 yo daughter to their clinic as a new patient. It was great that they accepted new patients. Also there was no delay in getting the appointment either. The visit was amazing. My daughter loved Dr.Sam and her team. The office space has been well planned to accommodate and engage kids of all ages. While our visit there i didn’t see even a single fussy child which was surprising and amazing. The team and the doctor herself are warm and kind which naturally make the kids feel at ease. Will definitely recommend and keep going back to this facility.

I just visited Growing Smiles Children’s Dentistry for the first time and they were so warm and welcoming. I brought my 6-month-old for his first checkup today and the staff was so kind to both my son and myself. He didn’t even cry! Dr. Sam is amazing. She is very nice and she is also very professional. I am so happy to have found her and this dental office to be my son’s paediatric dentist!

The staff at this clinic were very polite, kind and sweet with my child. The dental assistant went above and beyond to make my 1 year old feel comfortable, and the dentist was very thorough in her exam and discussion regarding dental hygiene. We are very happy we found this clinic!

My child completed a full treatment with Dr. Gumber at their previous location in June. Now, six months later, we requested a visit for an issue with the spacer they installed, and we were told we must pay a new examination fee. While I understand this is a new location, it is still the same doctor. A little accountability would go a long way.

Updated 2/27 - my daughters spacer fell off of her tooth after less than a month. This has to be the utmost unorganized dentist I have ever been to. I originally asked to be referred to Dr. Young (amazing dentist!) but I was told it might be a longer wait, so I agreed to this dentist. Every time I had to call back after a missed call, no one knew who called me or what it was about etc. I would have to repeat my name and who I was calling for multiple times. Thankfully I knew we would only be at this office a couple times. I expressed these concerns to our dentist. In January I received a call regarding a spacer (that I apparently spoke to them about back in October at her first appointment). They confirmed my insurance, confirmed everything was good and I scheduled the appointment. While waiting for our appointment (which was almost 40 minutes after our appointment time), another parent came out, her child just had the same thing done. She was told it would be $500, however, she also remembered being told it would be covered. She ended up paying the $500 and leaving. My daughter got her spacers on, we left (we were told everything was good to go) and a week later I received a call demanding $500. Upon looking on Google it appears that spacers aren’t covered by the dental plan, which means they knew this prior to the appointment, when they confirmed it was covered when I booked the appointment. I don’t know why they would say it was covered, if it wasn’t and Google clearly states it’s not. The receptionist claims that they only received a “claim received confirmation” and not an approval. So I am unsure why they would say it was covered, book the appointment and then say it isn’t covered. They knew it wouldn’t be covered, because it isn’t a coverable expense. Had they communicated properly at the time of booking the appointment, I never would have booked the appointment. Being told it was covered, I booked it. I do not have $500 available, and it is absolutely sickening they are telling parents something is covered, and it isn't. I can't imagine how many other parents have been through this with this office. After my daughter's first appointment in October I was also told she would be prescribed antibiotics, which took days to get sent to the pharmacist. Every time I called the office, no one knew what I was talking about and why I was asking for antibiotics. Even though it was the dentist who prescribed them. She was also supposed to be referred to the orthodontist, which didn’t happen either. Thankfully our actual dentist made the referral for us. I have told everyone I know to stay away from the office due to how unorganized it was, people were shocked I agreed to go to this appointment, and now I wish I hadn’t. As a disabled single mom, this is extremely upsetting and alarming. They are saying things are covered, that aren’t covered. They aren’t being upfront about the fees and possible cost of treatment. Communication goes a long way, and this should have been communicated prior to the appointment. To tell someone that something is covered, and everything is good to go, and then call them a week later demanding $500 for a treatment that is clearly not covered is unethical. When I told the receptionist she is more than welcome to call my daughter's father and ask him for payment, she laughed and said “I’m not sure why I would call him.” She offered monthly payments, however, I stated I can't afford that either. They never should have booked the appointment knowing it wasn't covered. Adding some photos of conversations I had regarding experiences mentioned in the review (I did mix up tooth/gums) as well as the call logs with the office and the pharmacy. Blocked out some information for privacy reasons. This entire situation has impacted my health, caused my autoimmune disease to flare and caused extreme debilitating anxiety. I genuinely can’t afford groceries, and being hit with a bill after being told it was covered is sickening. I haven’t been able to sleep or eat due to the stress this has caused.
