My kiddo had her first dental visit here a couple of weeks ago and it couldn’t have gone better! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the assistant and dentist that worked with us were amazing with kids and let us go our own pace and didn’t push when my daughter didn’t feel comfortable with something. Highly recommend as this place was also recommended to me!

Amazing experience today for our daughter's appointment. She has been so nervous at the dentist previously and allowed little "work" to be done. Dr. Carrie was fantastic, our daughter was brave, and everything went smoothly and all the treatment plan was able to be completed. Fantastic place to take children needing pediatric specialty dental work. Highly recommend, cannot say enough great things about the team, service, and experience. We are very grateful - thank you!

A "Fake Nice" Cash Trap—Unethical Billing & Complete Disregard for Patients After Financial Disclosure Do not be fooled by their 4.9-star rating; their "fake nice" attitude only lasts as long as they think your wallet is thick enough to be fleeced. My 5-year-old was diagnosed with severe decay requiring an extensive GA (General Anesthesia) surgery, with a staggering price tag of $8,530. When we looked into our dental insurance limits, we realized we would be hit with over $6,000 in out-of-pocket expenses. When we requested a transfer to the University of Minnesota (UMN) Pediatric Dental Clinic—a standard public medical center where the massive anesthesia fees could be legally billed under our Medical Insurance to alleviate the financial burden—the clinic's attitude took a 180-degree turn. The financial specialist in their billing office point-blank refused to write a formal referral letter to UMN, claiming they "do not generally refer to their office." This is an absolute lie and a malicious gatekeeping tactic. UMN strictly requires a referral to schedule a GA evaluation. By withholding this simple document, Tailwind is actively delaying a 5-year-old's urgent surgical care out of spite because they lost a high-paying, cash-paying client. Unless you have an unlimited budget and enjoy being treated like a walking ATM, avoid this clinic. The moment you advocate for your own financial options or attempt to coordinate complex insurance/hospital routing, they will drop the "nice" act and leave your child stranded. Completely unethical and heartless. [UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER]: The owner’s response below is an absolute, hypocritical lie trying to save face in public. You claim in your public response that you "have facilitated referrals with UMN’s Pediatric Dental Clinic for patients in the past" and blame this on a "miscommunication." However, I have black-and-white email proof from your front desk/billing specialist (Brenda) from June 8th, explicitly stating: "Unfortunately, I would not have a referral to send to the University of Minnesota we do not generally refer to their office." Which one is it? Why do you tell families privately that you "do not refer to UMN" to gatekeep them from leaving, while lying publicly on Google pretending you are always happy to help? You also claim you cannot find my family's account—another cheap tactic to make it look like a fake review. You know exactly who we are. We are the family of the 5-year-old child with a $8,530 GA treatment plan who dared to ask for a UMN referral on June 8th. Stop using "the wellbeing of every child" as a corporate marketing slogan. If you truly cared, you would not have withheld a standard referral document to delay a 5-year-old's urgent surgical care just because you lost a high-paying self-pay case. Parents, look at the contrast between their public PR response and their private email. The hypocrisy speaks for itself. Avoid this place.

The worst experience I have ever had pertaining my child was at this office. 6 months ago my son saw a dental hygienist at this office. From the moment he sat in her chair she was frustrated. She was frustrated by his excitement, she was frustrated by his fear, everything upset her. I left that appointment feeling sad for my son. Six months passed and it was time for a cleaning. I hoped I didn't get the same hygienist, but we did. The minute he sat in her chair again she was annoyed. My son was so excited to put on the glasses he said "it's like the beach" and she said "you need to calm down i need to look at your teeth." She was rushing his cleaning. Then she said we needed xrays. She didn't explain anything to my son regarding what he needed to do. She pulled open his mouth and shoved the tray device inside. When that wasn't working, which I don't know what child that type of behavior would work for, she said we had to use a different machine. All the while she was huffing and making noises out of frustration. My child was far from being difficult, so I really question and wonder how this woman would've handled a difficult child. My eldest son witnessed the interaction and said "why was that lady so crabby?" After the entire experience being poor I finally took my son's hand and left. We didn't finish our appointment because of the poor experience and I was not going to subject my son to anymore mistreatment. I hope tailwind works with this hygienist or finds a different position for her because from my perspective she shouldn't work with children if they frustrated and aggravate her, especially at a pediatric dentist office.

Took our daughter there for a few years until we moved. It was her first real dental experience and they did such a good job getting her to feel comfortable, never pushing her to do anything. They even have a comfort dog who comes in once a week to help kids who might need extra support. All the staff was super great. Highly recommend!
