We have been a part of CPD for a long time. Always had great experiences. Since they have changed to "Lume" it feels very corporatey, all processes for appointments are just like you are a number now not a patient. The forms asking for a credit card already via text are unsettling. It should be focused on patient care and offering treatment, then accept payment to begin. Thats one of many things that I have noticed has changed. My kids just had their cleaning, it will most likley be there last here with this change.

Very UNPROFESSIONAL! Don’t WALK…. RUN! If you are seeking a reliable dentist office, I would advise against booking an appointment here. I have called multiple times regarding my son's appointment and requested a callback, but never received one. The referring physician had to intervene to secure the appointment, only for them to cancel on the same day, which is incredibly frustrating given that I took time off work for today's appointment and had also received a confirmation call yesterday.

The people at the front were absolutely disrespectful and discriminatory towards my immigrant family. They refused to allow my parents to both go into the room with my siblings yet allowed a different family. They refused and canceled on them twice without explaining further and they even refused to look at my father in the eye when speaking to him. They used to be very kind and understanding towards us but with new workers, they are very much the opposite. Even before new workers, one dentist threatened my little sister after her tooth removal and she was even too scared to tell us about it. What type of pediatric dentistry threatens a toddler like this because a parent was not present in the room with them? It makes one wonder what really goes on in these rooms when a guardian is not there to protect a child. Can we even trust them? Facing such hostility after being in America for so long and finally getting the hang of it has felt as if things are moving backwards and really makes us realize that people can be so mean and racist even in 2026 for no apparent reason, even those that are supposed to help and provide care for us. Things have really not changed much even after 10+ years.

Very unprofessional… Front desk waited an extra two minutes after I arrived, then came back and told me i arrived too late to see anyone… appointment 12:30p arrived 12:40; she went away for 2 mins to check our appointment. I arrived 10 mins still within the grace period. She then attempts to passive aggressively call after me very loudly (as I turned to leave) to tell me I can reschedule - when ai shook my head and told her NO. Very, very annoying. Will find a different dentist for my Baby. - Took me forever to reinstall car seat as Hubby was at work and I am 30 weeks pregnant. Worse experience ever.

My girls had an awesome experience going together!! Appointment was at 11am & they were home 10 minutes before noon. Although it was a routine checkup & cleaning, I was informed that their hygienist and dentist were very nice and very informative about the next steps. I’ve been going for about 5 years & I will ALWAYS recommend Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry.
