This Smiles for Kids Dentistry East has been great with my kid. The assistants explained the procedure (cavity fillings) to my son. She reassured him in a calm and gentle manner. And the Dentist was equally calm and gentle in preparing for the drilling. My son was very nervous but they helped him through it. Our experience with this Smiles for kids and all their staff from the moment we walked through the doors till we left was very positive. We recommend this Dentistry, my son has been going to this one for about 4 yrs. We thank all the staff for their kindness and patience.😊😁

Terrible office management. Called weeks in advance to schedule appointment. Confirmed insurance with the office personnel. They called 1 time to confirm the appointment which resulted in over 45min wait on hold to call back and confirm the appointment. My wife scheduled a call back with the automated service and NEVER received a call. Went to the appointment after taking kid out of school early, taking time off work. Only to be told in the waiting room that none of the dentists on staff actually take our insurance. However they were happy to charge me full price or out of network fee. I do not recommend this practice to anyone.

I work in the elective surgery industry… the orthodontist is nice and welcoming. All assistants are caring and great with my son. The young receptionist, however, I have had several negative encounters with. She is rude and dismissive. I had my son booked for an appointment since the beginning of December for just an adjustment for his braces. I have been receiving text reminders since December and called to confirm my appointment three different times in one day. Two times I was told he doesn’t have an appointment then finally I was told he does. I WENT INTO THE OFFICE to confirm since I had taken time off work already and the young girl told me he didn’t have an appointment. I proceeded to show her the SEVERAL text confirmations I received and her response was “A third party sends those texts, that is not my fault. Your son does not have an appointment I can’t do anything about it.” I asked to speak to a manager and her response was “ you can come back tomorrow I’m the only one here you can talk to and your son can’t be seen tomorrow..” I asked to speak with someone else because this young girl had a lot of attitude and was extremely unhelpful. I then spoke with the woman who does consultations who had let me know that the appointment had been rescheduled without my knowing to an appointment in March.. 12 weeks for a braces adjustment is unacceptable when I am paying THOUSANDS of dollars for this service and he is supposed to be seen every 6 weeks. The woman who does consultations was very accommodating ACTUALLY LOOKED at the texts and realized it was an error on their end and put my son in for the appointment. I work in scheduling and realize you can’t always “fit” someone in but if the patient is receiving text reminders for an appointment and it’s an error on the businesses end the response should never be “that’s not my fault”. This young woman needs better instruction on how to deal with patients that are paying a great deal of money for a service. Thank goodness there was an adult present to address the issue. Very frustrating encounter…

Everyone from the front office to the dentist are polite understanding kind, and talk to you like you’re a human not a number. Got new insurance on January 1 They did not send a card yet- and The Billing Dept was able To locate our insurance information. I had a zero dollar co-pay. The reception made me feel welcomed, not a burden and everywhere it’s clean. I see somebody cleaning all the time. My kids have been patients at least 10 years. I share With friends and family Smiles for kids every time.
