We had a wonderful experience at Little Harpeth Dentistry. It was my 4yr old son’s first time getting x-rays and a proper cleaning. The whole staff was so sweet and patient with him and Dr Priya spent time getting to know me and my son. We had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them 🩵

We absolutely love Dr. Purohit and the amazing staff at Little Harpeth Children’s Dentistry. My toddler feels so comfortable with this group of women and loves showing off her sweet smile when we visit. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for pediatric dental care.

My daughter started going to this dentist whenever she had just a few teeth in her mouth. She is now 4 and we decided that we will never go back! We loved going there and it’s such a disappointment that it was in my daughters best interest to change dentist. My daughter went for X-rays and her six month cleaning. We were asked the usual questions about brushing and flossing. The dentist (Priya) proceeded to tell us that she needs caps put on 2 teeth due to break down and cavities. I wasn’t shown the X-rays. She didn’t explain anything other than telling me what will be done and telling me that Ovaltine every morning is causing it. She told us that she will not do fillings because the other has failed. Proceeded to tell us she will be put under and it will be quick… Their goal was to get this surgery scheduled quick! I felt so shamed. I felt as if something was off and decided to get a second opinion. Not only did I get a second opinion, I had TWO other dentists look at my child’s teeth. My child does not need to be put under, my child does have something that’s turning into a cavity but there isnt any stickiness to it so therefore there’s no reason to jump for immediate care. We were given the option to just manage it and continue doing exactly what we are doing. So my child does not need caps and does not need to be put under with sedation! By the way, we were given the option for it to be done with her awake. But because everything was happening so fast and I couldn’t even think about what I was being told, I immediately said we would put her to sleep! My baby is 4! She does not need dental trauma. She loves the dentist! It worries me because she has extracted one of my child’s teeth and has done fillings previously… and now I wonder if it was even necessary. Glad to be gone! Edit: I was expecting a response that was full crap because all of the other reviews from parents that had similar issues… received a response very similar to mine. I was absolutely NOT shown X-rays nor my child’s mouth. I was TOLD which teeth! I’m just now hearing that there is breakdown underneath my child’s fillings. I was NOT told that AT ALL! I will be making a complaint on that as well. I had to find out from a Google review response that my child has break down underneath old fillings and was not informed this while in office! My feedback is solely about communication and informed consent. Us parents deserve clear explanations, imaging review, and time to make decisions!

I left her office crying that I had messed up children’s teeth by poor nutrition. She lied to me. She solicites reviews by sending multiple emails until you leave one. Most underprivileged families are not leaving reviews. I am passionate about children and this woman is hurting them. She told me my child had five cavities and needed four crowns, that the bacteria was in the gums and extractions would probably be needed later-the child was five. Also she stated my three year old would have the same issues as they were diet related and if we shared spoons or water cups it was contagious. My flags went up when she emphasized this was all diet-I studied nutrition and work in childcare and I know my kids eat healthier than 90% of children. Her practice includes “Smokey mirrors” , no parents allowed in the back when work is being done, and crying, red faced children in the waiting room-clinging to family members not wanting to go back (another flag alerted). I’m blessed I have a mom who said there is NO way this right. She offered to pay for us to go elsewhere. When we did, I found out my child had barely any issues, needed no sedation, did not need to miss multiple days of school, and work was done in front of me, while the dentist explained everything as he did it. Two small fillings as opposed to five, no pain, and nothing needed on teeth she wanted to crown while strapping my kid to the table. Yes, that makes me personally very angry at this woman because she was very convincing and would have caused significant pain and ongoing teeth issues for my child. It is not a Tennessee law that children have to be strapped to the table with non-intravenous sedation. Another lie she told me. Also, I was conveniently locked out of my online account and was told they would have to have their “tech team” look into it. Never happened. I did screenshot everything before that so I have proof of her lies on my child’s teeth. Her immaculately clean office is covering up all sorts of dirt.
