Was referred from my MAC navigator here since they claim to be accommodating to kids with special needs. Booked appointment, called after to let them know my 4 yo is non verbal autistic. Said they would notate his chart. No accommodations offered. Ok great we’ll just try it out. First appointment was too overwhelming so we rescheduled. Was assured we would get a private room next time, get to pick his favorite show, earlier appointment so there would be less stimulus, so on and so forth. Next appointment went exactly like the first (no change in accommodations or anything that was mentioned at last appointment) but we were able to get a little further since kiddo had been there previously. Dentist started brushing teeth and shining bright light. I’m guessing my kiddo started clenching a little because dentist kept repeating “don’t bite! Don’t bite! Don’t bite!” Which resulted in my kid squirming. I’m not sure how much experience this place has with autism but my kid was showing signs of discomfort and while I was in the motion to stand up and pull him away before he started flailing his arms, he moved too quickly and got stabbed by a tool the dentist was holding. Maybe I didn’t advocate enough for my kiddo, maybe this place doesn’t read charts, not sure in this scenario but still disappointed.

My kids have been coming here for more than a year now. We find the staff very friendly and helpful in all aspects! The staff are wonderful! Highly recommended place!

Overall, a great experience for my kid. We made the switch because the location was more feasible. They were a little behind with appointments, but absolutely wonderful attitudes made up for it! My kid actually said he loved the dentist after his visit.

My issue is regarding the repeated cancellation of my appointments. This is the third time my appointment has been canceled due to the doctor taking time off when school is closed. While I fully support physicians taking well-deserved time off, it would be more appropriate for those dates to be blocked off on the annual calendar in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts and repeated cancellations. This particular appointment was scheduled months ago because there was limited availability for the procedure. Now, as a result of the cancellation, we are required to wait even longer, and I have not been offered any accommodations that fit my schedule. This has been very frustrating and feels unprofessional. Additionally, while the staff are generally courteous, there have been instances during exams where procedures and findings were not clearly explained. Information about what is needed or how brushing is progressing is not always communicated unless we specifically ask. Clear and proactive communication would greatly improve the overall experience.

My seven year old is on the Spectrum and has ADHD and he is terrified of going to the dentist and most times he puts up a fight to were we have to hold him down. Today was the first time he has enjoyed the dentist. The staff and every one made him feel very clam. Over all i love this place.
